What is Mediation?
Mediation helps create arrangements for children, finances and property.
We offer mediation online (via zoom) to help when going through divorce or separation. Family Mediation is quicker and less stressful than going to court and is significantly cheaper than being legally represented too.
Why choose Circle Mediation?
Circle Mediation’s ethos is anchored around the child, focusing on helping families adopt a healthy co-parenting relationship, aiming to help families and children avoid having to enter the court process.
Carlie started Circle Mediation after becoming an Accredited Mediator, through a desire to improve the mediation process and increase the likelihood of a successful outcome by utilising her passion for and vast skillset in Restorative Practice.
Carlie is a skilled, passionate and experienced Accredited Family Mediator, having worked as a mediator in various settings for over 10 years.
In her drive to achieve successful outcomes in the mediation setting, Carlie draws on 15 years of experience of the ‘Restorative Practice’ world. in both public and private sectors. Carlie’s friendly and outgoing nature ensures that all mediation participants feel as comfortable as possible during the mediation process.
What is Restorative Practice?
Restorative Practice is a ‘way of being’, where the focus is on building strong, meaningful, trusting and respectful ‘relationships’, and repairing relationships when difficulties or harm arises.
Strong meaningful relationships are formed when we work alongside people. We know that people are happier, more cooperative and productive, and more likely to make positive changes to their behaviour when we do things WITH them rather than To them or For them. Working WITH people means providing High Support and High Challenge.
Circle Mediation’s vision is to embed restorative practice throughout Family Mediation. This will make a positive difference to the outcome of the mediation process and enable participants to feel safe and heard in the mediation setting and allow mediation to reach its full potential.
Restorative Practice provides a value base, language, behaviours and tools to strengthen relationships with children and families and each other.
Our restorative approach focuses on empowering families to find solutions to their problems, and recognises them as experts of their own lives.
